Meet the Teacher

Welcome to the blog!  I am an intervention specialist in my 9th year working with mild to moderate IEP students in grades K-2.  Through everything that has been thrown at me in the last 9 years, there is one thing that keeps me going every day, my wonderful students. :) I have 3 fur babies, my cat Gus-Gus and 2 rescue pups, Mocha-Jo and Baloo. If you know anything about me, you probably know I LOVE coffee! I hope that you find some goodies while visiting my blog! I try and make sure that everything I use is my own, or 100% available for commercial use. If I use something that is yours without your permission, please contact me. Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Hello.  I'm Karen.  Retired teacher. Mother of Suzanne.  My interest in writing began long ago.  In high school I was managing editor of the school newspaper and wrote a column each week.  My last year of teaching, I wrote inspiring (hopefully) letters to my staff. Several asked when I would be starting my blog.  Thank you, Suzanne, for offering your blog as a platform for my thoughts and stories.  Readers, I hope you find a little inspiration in my musings.

  1. Nice to meet you! I know that such blogs can be a real treasure box for teachers but students read them too and it is nice to realize that educators are just people like we who love pets and coffee. Lots of parents look through various posts to find the ways of giving assistance to their children. Today I, eventually got research essays assistance online and it made me think that it is better to help our kids when they just learn how to write. We, parents don`t have special degree, so we would be also thankful to get ideas how to support children after school.
